Although most who watch this would never fall for this scam but many of our elderly and young Americans would. Warn your loved ones that criminal fraudsters can impersonate anyone’s (my mother-in-law in this case) Facebook account and get them to fall for costly tricks.

To explain your security hole I'll use an analogy:

A typical law firm’s cyber threat protection is like home security:

Most homes have a solid front door with a locking handle, deadbolt and peep hole (your network Firewall)
Most homes have blinds or curtains in your windows and typical window locks that flip to lock (your computer Antivirus)
If your home has a sliding glass door for your patio or balcony you might have a “bar” to ensure if the lock is shimmied bad guys can’t slide the door open (Spam filtering software)
And finally on your garage door, there’s a lock that is probably not set because the garage door opener holds the door shut.

Fifteen years ago, the Harvard Business Review asked its readers, “Can you trust your law firm?” The question then referred to whether corporate lawyers were providing sound advice to their clients. Today, it would also have to account for their approach to cybersecurity.

Hypothetically, if you were looking to purchase bulk paper which of the following search engine results would you feel safe clicking on and why?

Is it safe to save your passwords when you’re prompted by your web browser on your computer or phone?

Hackers are becoming increasingly better at tricking unsuspecting computer users into clicking on the bogus phishing emails the hackers send that are meant to plant viruses/bots, steal data, hold their files for ransom or worse steal identities or bank/credit card info.

Many business owners believe they will never encounter a cyber attack. Business owners associate cyber attacks to certain industries and often conclude that their business is too small to be targeted. Any IT person that tells you they have the cure for computer viruses or your firewall will keep hackers out is LYING! Abruptly grab them by their belt and give them the boot.

Now the fact is that in your Cybersecurity stack, you cannot live without Antivirus or a Firewall but not just any.
